Working the hard road

Working the hard road

I walk the streets
every night asking
has anybody seen her
is she safe is she sound
where can she be found
my car crash
ballerina

I call her phone
same old tone
someone else between her
burning in my mind
the only words i find
one name
katrina

katrina bought a ticket to nowhere
she's got good reason to hide
and now kat she only goes there
and someone's got to pay for the ride

So while our paths
lie side by side
let's bear this weight together
cause this world it has shown
me that all alone
is no place
in stormy weather

katrina bought a ticket to nowhere
she got a reason to hide
and now she only goes there
someone got to pay for the ride
oh no
someone gonna pay for the ride
