Written in the Stars

Written in the Stars

Written in the Stars
Β
Β
In the springtime when the snow is almost gone
There growΒ  brilliant crocuses on our front lawn
Β
Spring is a time of renewal and of healing
A time to bury those tired, old feelings
Β
Those old feelings are just like a bitter seed
That come summer become a garden full of weeds
Β
Leave your resentments buried far under the snow
Plant a seed of everlasting love and allow it to grow
Β
The winter rose shines from the love within
To pick her in all of her glory would be a sin
Β
Love is calling on the crisp April breeze
She whispers our name through the leaves
Β
Hope is echoed in the waves of the restless seas
Mother Nature’s gifts put our two hearts at ease
Β
The stars are glowing on this perfect night
A blazing falling star what a wondrous sight
Β
Hold me tight within your ever loving arms
Shadows of the night won’t bring us any harm
Β
Let me feel all of the magic in your kiss
When our lips meet it is ethereal bliss
Β
Allow the wind to blow freely through your hair
At this very moment we don’t have a care
Β
We now have the North Star guiding us
Won’t you hold my hand in affectionate trust?
Β
Why don’t we go home and light a crackling fire
And to our hopes and dreams we will aspire
Β
Our story must lay written in the stars above
How else could we explain this heavenly love?
