Xmas cards

Just wrote my Xmas card list
It is now thankfully done
Every year it gets smaller
Another loved one is gone

This is when I really notice
That I am getting old myself
At the rate I’m losing relatives
I will be left alone on the shelf

No Aunts or Uncles left alive
Just my siblings & I
Tho I’m at that time of life
When it could be my time to die

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not morbid,
Merely stating the truth
Its along time ago
When I was just a youth

So I won’t count my chickens
But will be counting blessings instead
Haha they will miss me off their Xmas card list
Only when I’m dead

Well thats the cards ready to send
Another job off my list
I hope I’ve included everyone
Bet theres someone I’ve missed
