Yesterday
Yesterday the same
as any other day
no different from today
no different from tomorrow
yesterday was hard
yesterday got me down
yesterday made me frown
yesterday like today
and every other day
i long for tomorrow
to be different from today
and every other day
including yesterday
for tomorrow to be
filled with happiness
and kindness
and all things good
i long for tomorrow
to be better than today
and every yesterday

I liked this. It made me think of Audrey Hepburn. She was an actress. In the days when she was poor and struggling, she had a cat. She called it Tomorrow. So when she picked it up to cuddle, she could say ”It will be alright Tomorrow.” I felt that suffering in this very piece. I hope tomorrow is brighter for you x
