Oh my precious Angel Nico, where did the time all go;

I’m looking at your puppy picture, your fur as white as snow!

The most beautiful little doggie face, that I had ever seen;

And your heart was “only” full of love, not one ounce of mean!

The Angels sent you down to me, to cherish and to love;

The most precious gift I’d ever had, from the Heavens up above!

You gave your heart and soul to me, the first day that we met;

You became my “little boy”, so much more than just my pet!

But unlike most sons born to men, your lifespan was not like theirs;

Most doggies get less than fifteen years, which I think is so unfair!

For to me, you were my progeny, I loved you as my own;

Not one child of the four I had, such loving, me, had shown!

They say the toughest ordeal a parent has, is to bury their cherished child;

The pain is oft unbearable, forever in soul ensiled!

My love for you will never die, it will last forever after me;

Yesterday, yesteryear, yesteryou, together will we ever be!
