“You Are Everything” (Inspired by Dru Hill)

So crooked, this love; and a letter cries, mercy; and never such

Glory; and never such joy. We fall to rise; and rise to fall.

What path—a woman scorned; and what growth—a woman’s

Love; and everything, my life; and everything, her soul. I’m

Dying love; and crying joy. Such a riddle—to please love; and

Such a pulse—to pageant lies. We drench the death; and sex

The pain; and lightnin’ strikes, a lover bold; and eyes swell,

Another lie. Search the vault, a virgin wit; and search the sky,

An empty smile; for love burns, a sudden volt; and tears soak, a

Wounded soul. My everything, why the love; and everything,

Why the death. Be free, and float the skies; and drown the

Earth, my wingless dove. We perish bold; and die the core.

What love to live; and what lies to tell; and so gentle, a private

Hope; and such glamour, a jasper queen.
