YOU BETTER RECOGNIZE

YOU BETTER RECOGNIZE

I picked you up from your suicidal thoughts
When your ex left you emotionally disturbed
I listen to your brokenness and pain
I helped you to rebuild your life again

I took care of your children as my own
I clothed and fed them daily
Even give them a home

I took them to the park
And pick them up from school
I showed them love and kindness
I taught them to live by the golden rule

But your ex was still in your head
The same one that you wanted dead
After all these years he is back in your life
I guess it has slipped your mind
That our vows before god
Has made us man and wife

What has he given you but pain
Why would you want to walk that way again
When would you get it in your head and mind
That a good man is hard to find.

Hey Sir BARKER!!....WOW!!......what I Love about this the most is its universality.....so many will be able to relate to this......It's seriously "SAD but TRUE" and so beautifully conveyed....poetically blooming...and deals with subject matter that is hard to find in poetry....but definitely strikes a nerve....i wish more could read this my friend!.....ALL STARS & PINNED!!....VERY well penned.......Bravo Wilford!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!....T xo  : )
