You work you live

You work, you live, 
to pay the bills, 
to live life hard, 
something that I don't disregard.

You work, you live,
to pay the bills,
and continuously have to update your skills.

You work, you live,

just to buy a flat,
how can you live without that?

You work, you live, 
just to buy some food,
and if you don't then you are screwed.

You work, you live, 

just to earn some cash,
then you spend it all in a flash.

You work, you live, 
so that you can see your friends,
for drunken nights out on the Thames.

You work, you live,
until you have spent all of your money,
you then have to stay at home and it's not funny.

You work, you live,
until you find a wife,
then you have to stay home for the rest of your life.

You work, you live,
Until you die,
life's a routine but I ask myself why?
