Poem -

YOUNG EYES

What horrors have your young eyes seen

Know for certain they are not fields of green

Nor have you seen the sky looking so blue

Instead you've seen people dying in front of you

What horrors have your young eyes seen

Rubble now where once a building had been

Your young eyes can't look the other way

Facing all these horrors throughout each day

What horrors have your young eyes seen

Death or destruction is just a daily routine

My old eyes sees yours on a computer screen

Your age I guess would be twelve or thirteen
