Your Cheating Heart

Your Cheating Heart

You're cheating heart will tell on you, remember,
there is no timeline from January to December;
now, it's not just hearts but all sorts of other things,
like free will, short cuts and earning your wings.

When sleep won't come, it must be retribution,
looking for easy, looking for magic solution,
you'll cry and cry but no one's really listening,
tell me what's on your mind, tell me something.

You can walk the floor but there's nothing there,
where's my miracle I was promised so I can care?
No matter, I'll take all these things in my stride,
you're the one, not me, who'll be churning inside.

So, what was it like, was it done the way I do?
No escape boyo - you're cheating heart will tell on you.

Hi Tony,
Thanks so much.
The picture is a very young Tom Jones
back in the good old days.
Love,
Terry.
