Poem -

Your dying son

Your dying son

Lord I have died
Today before you
I stand
Humbled by thy name
I was on the wayward road
The road that taketh
In the gutters of the streets
On the grey side
The hard road
In gravel dying
In the heat of the sun
Bleeding before thee
Cast out of stone
I am the son of sin
The transgressor of the land
I have left the town
To be with my people
By the tree of olives
In the hills of Galilee
I lay before thee
Your dying son
Jesus Christ
