Your Last Bath-Your Last Breaths

Your Last Bath-Your Last Breaths

Something sad just dawned on me, from in my Soul ensiled;
Sometimes we have selective memories, keep these thoughts so deeply filed!
On a Monday just six months ago, my Cody got his final bath;
Then five days later, on Saturday, Fate served its wretched wrath!
.
And on a Monday night, three years ago, my Nico took his final breath;
He walked with me that morning, but by evening slept in Death!
Lastly, on Monday morning forty years ago, during open heart surgery;
My Father did not make it through, a Family tragedy!
.
Oh Monday, maudlin Monday, you’ve brought my soul such dire din;
For you gave me a gravesite and some ashes, where life there should have been!
Oh my Blessed Father Hyman, my Soulmates Nico and Cody;
Every Monday I devote to you, in my Soul you will ever be!
.
.
                        A bath and last breaths
                 Three Mondays I’ll ne’er forget
                          Etched e’er my Soul

Dear Greg,
Wow, that is really sad.  We're trying to remember Dave's face, but we didn't know the guys at your table by their names.
We know how bad you feel, and if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx
P.S.  Why don't you write a tribute poem to him?

                                       OH DAVID
OH DAVID, I CLOSED MY EYES TO GET AWAY
AND FELL A SLEEP AND HAD DREAM I WAS
WALK ALONG ROAD AND CAME TO FIELD OF GRASS
I WALKED IN THE FIELD AND FOUND A CLEARING
I LAYED DOWN AND LOOK UP IN THE SKYAND SAW CLOUDS
PASSING BY AS  WATCH THAM FLOAT BY THEN I WATCH
SUN GO FROM EAST TO WEST AND THE BIRDS FLY BY
AS I LAY HERE I STARTED TO PRAYER FOR YOU DAVID
AND HOPE GOD HEARS ME I CRYED FRO YOU DAVIED
AS I LAY HERE A BREEZE COMES UPAND TALL GRASS
SAWAYS IN THE BREEZES I CAN HEAR THE WIND
AND THE BIRDS SINGING VERY PEACEFUL I WOKE UP
AND OPENED MY EYES AND LOOK OUT THE WINDOW
AND SAW CLOUD FLOATING BYAND SAID HELLO DAVID
YOU WILL BE MISSED ARE HEARTS BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
SO PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU OH DAVID
