Your Lover Boy

Your Lover Boy

My partner said; 'I want an older man -
someone who treasures and takes care of me,'
they wouldn't know about all your foibles,
moods, peccadilloes, idiosyncrasies and miserables.

But I do - nurse things along the Appian Way,
that's my duty, I'm the blame game, so they say;
however, there are limits to human endurance,
the fact I'm a good lover, must be a coincidence.

The screen idol is a fake, not so good after all,
just because of broad shoulders and six feet tall;
he'd soon tire of your demands and prerequisites,
say you're not as good in bed as his usual hits.

You can fantasize, I like your moaning in the bed,
not out of it, but then you're everything I ever wanted.
