Poem -

Your Smile Mocks Me

Excuse me, while I pass
For I know that smile wont last
When you get to know me
There will go that smileĀ  set free

My body trembles now
As eyes and skies do a bow
But my nerves are not moved
For the pain afters remove

Lady your smile mocks me
What you think you see my fee
The who I am inside
Against the who can abide

My life's complexity
Goodness in simplicity
A sure walk in my now
The silence in my know how

Although your smile is free
The cost it exacts from me
When will it expire
It's toll on my desire

No safe place for your smile
That keeps a separate pile
My private getaway
Oh the wish for you to stay

Your smile only mocks me
If a better man I be
A fist of gold in hand
What goodness I to demand
