Poem -

Yours and mine.

Don't ask me to forget you, like you seem to matter no more

I've seen your face, it haunts me, like the sea
Against the shore

All the nights I've waited
In dreams for you
to come, and hold me like you used to
the loneliness undone

Don't ask me to forget you, as if time could then erase, all the tears that fall , in your absence
from my face

The only heaven I have seen, when standing
In your grace
the openness of eyes of blue, no other delicate place

Don't ask me to forget you, or take you from
My mind

Ive walked the lonely roads ahead, found places so unkind

Don't ask me to forget you, the love inside my heart, the words go on forevermore in death
To never part

Don't ask me to forget you when daylight comes to shine, in my heart for always
The love of yours
and mine.
