Yum yum

Slowly tenderise 
Marinade my supple sides 
Cut me up and lock me in 
Let the juices melt into my skin 
Grill me till a golden crust 
Forms and makes me look robust 

Cover me in honeyed glaze
Let me dance amongst those flames 
Add me to a juicy stock 
Let me cook inside that pot 

Stick my ass into the blender 
chop me up 
return me to sender 
reducing me to just a pulp 
add some vege’s 
the result is soup 

slip my chunks 
upon a stick 
dip me then  just let me sit 
add me to a charcoal fire 
letting scented ashes perspire 
slowly browning all within
tease me off 
and then dig in
