Zebra Crossing

They're going to paint zebra crossings in a colour,
just to ensure that there can't be any racial slur;
Where did all this start? What made fools start to cry,
so birds beware - black & white plucked from the sky.

Mention of the 'only black,' is simply not allowed,
Lewis got his nuts in a twist, going round and round;
my nephew was asked - what denomination you wish?
he replied: 'There is no problem because I'm Brittish.'

The list is endless and that really is the silly dilemma,
Black Beauty by Anna Sewell was banned - remember
in the apartheid regime, 'whites only,' what do you mean?
We've moved on, equality must be believed to be seen.

We all stand before God, miniscule like grains of sand,
try not to paint anything else the colour of your hand.
