Zest and Zeal ❤️

Twas’ like a sharpened sword that stabbed my soul

Betwixt a freezing fog on a late night stroll

As I listened to the running of the river from a flowing cajole

I felt the sheer force of the motion like a magnetic pole..

And I looked all around at our Dame Mother Earth

She was spiralling her secretiveness with all her worth

Dulling thru the darkness amongst that melancholy mirth

Where my eyes were blinded by a dimmed depth of dearth..

And she showed her clandestine covertness from yon misted light

As I sensed an apprehension of fear like a virginal bride on her wedding night

Tho I ploughed on with sheer grit and steel

Determined to prove to Mother nature that I had zest and zeal…
