A Nightmare On Duke Street

A Nightmare On Duke Street

Lalani picked up her ringing phone and answered it. It was her best friend, Thalia. "Hey," answered Lalani as she figured out who it was. All she could hear was static, though. Before she hung up she heard a help and immediately called the cops.

The police said they looked all over the house and found nothing.

Lalani begged to differ, she looked inside and saw nothing, but she knew something was going on Duke Street.

On that same day, Lalani was watching the news and they had said they found a dead body at the Duke Street Mansion. It just so happened to be her best friend, Thalia. She knew something was going on.

Before she could morn her best friend's death, she had to get to the bottom of this.

lalani bravely went into the mansion. She took a few steps and then all the doors slammed shut. She knew someone or something was there. She tried to get out...picking the locks on the doors...opening windows...but the windows we're sealed shut. She called her mother, Bethany and wondered if she could help. Bethany heard static instead. was Thalia's death my fault? Should I have gone to see her? I don't want to die like she did. I'm really worried.

Lalani carefully went somewhere to hide, once she heard a small child's laughter. She was sweating, crying, and scared.  The laughter finally went away, so she stopped hiding. Then she felt a breeze on her back, so she turned around and it was this big guy with chains and hooks to keep them together. He had a creepy smile and white eyes, along with a demonic look. He picked her up and carried her, while she was yelling for help. No one heard her, since the windows and doors were sealed shut.

He took her into his basement, calls his basement "the dungeon". It's where he keeps his bodies. He doesn't kill them. He just kept them down there so they could be his slaves. Though he had brutally hurt them. He even made one starve to death. Lalani knew she had no choice but to obey the man. He shackled her up in chains and left her on the floor.

"I'm hungry, " Lalani said. "Tough. You eat when I tell you to," he said. He went back upstairs and she kept praying and praying that it'll get better. Suddenly, a man with horns on his head- exact replica of how Satan is imagined, came to her and said, "prayin ain't gonna get you nowhere." He slit her wrist and left her for dead,  until the guy in chains came down. "I heard screaming!" "It was me, sir. I slit that girl's wrist," he said, proudly. "Now, Lawrence. How many time I told you to hurt nobody!" "Ooh I'm sorry, sir. "Good. Now get back to business." Lalani sees a woman dying. She studied her and then asked the man why she could live but that woman couldn't. He said it was because she was weak. He could see weakness in her but not Lalani.

Soon lalani hears a "hello? " and tried to yell, "down here!" But she couldn't hear. Right after that, she saw them throw her in the basement and shackle her up. "This just isn't right!" Yelled the girl. "Hey, I've got an idea if you're down." Lalani said. "Well duh!" Said the girl. "Okay, you yell and tell them you need to use the restroom, and once they unshackle you, unshackle me,  as well and we will storm out, got it?" Lalani declared. The girl agreed.

The girl declared a bathroom break and sure enough, she was able to unshackle her. They both raced out the door as fast as they could. Once they got down two blocks, they both hugged and asked if either one was alright. Then they yelled, cheerfully. They had finally escaped.

Two weeks later, Lalani hears a knock on her door and opens it. It was an innocent man that wished for water. She let him in and he shot her and put her in the hospital.

Waking up in the hospital, she was delerious. Suddenly a nurse comes in. "Where am I?" She asked. Then the nurse looked at her then walked away. A few hours later, she felt drowsy and out of her element. Soon her doctor came in and she asked, "why am I like this?" The doctor simply answered, "I drugged you. This is not a real hospital and let me tell you, lady, this ain't your lucky day.

Her death was peaceful, but her body was never found. Long live Lalani!
