A REVIEW OF WILLIAMSJI MAVELI'S POEM " I WALKED INTO THE GARDEN OF DATES "

Your poem titled"I Walked into the Garden of Dates"is a poem of highly emotional surges and spiritual dimension at the same time.The poem can be given twin explanations here with one inclining towards physical love and the other leaning towards the spiritual love from above.Let me deal with the physical side of love as characterised in the poem first,the garden of love here is a woman in the domain of love,but that love doesn't attain consummation here rather it is yet to reach its final destination because love is an elusive thing very often.The love,if it is authentic can overcome all difficulties and obstacles one after another without any shrinkage whatsoever.Love gets into a glorification of elevated nature in terms of this poem.When romance is unleashed in the air,the concept of love becomes the most rewarding and fulfilling one.The other explication related to this poem is spiritual because the divine love is enduring and endeavoring and it doesn't go away,it stays put in thick and thin,it is a love that doesn't have any end,it is unselfish to the core.Kudos to you Williamji for writing such a poem of magnificent nature.
