Another Lost Soul

And as a thief into the night, he vanished. His heart torn to pieces, and his mind shattered. Tormented and beaten, he drags his fragile body across the land. He tries to pick up the pieces as they fall, but to no avail. Hope fading fast, feelings begin to dissipate. He travels on, a lonely, lost soul. Longing to find a place where he belongs. The cool wind bites against his chapped cheeks. As the wolves howl their melancholy song, he looks to the sky. His eyes meet the gaze of the stars. All starts to fade, his legs grow weak. He knows there is little time left. He draws in one last breath, and cries a single tear. His body falls limp, and death claims another lost soul.
