PREFACE
Poetry is a form of literary art which uses artistic and rhythmic qualities of a language—such as aesthetics, symbolism, and beauty—to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, the characterless perceived meaning. In literature, especially in poetry, reason and intellect were submissive and their place was taken by imagination, emotion and passion. Love is expressed as an action and experienced as a feeling. Yet, love has an essence that resists defining in any single way — it encompasses compassion, determination, tolerance, endurance, support, faith, and much more.
The difference between love and enlightenment in real life assumes such a general and metaphysical significance, and the advantage of shadow over darkness is so obvious and self-evident, that it serves as a sharp metaphor- Wisdom excels craziness as far as shadow excels darkness.
Global poets have often remarked upon the enchanting nature of love, whereby the expression of poetic concepts encompasses a wide diversity of emotional relationships. However, these tend to be restricted in scope, and fail to fully represent the range of experiences signified by the term “pure love” in communication.
