CHAIN REACTION

CHAIN REACTION
Part 1.
There she was standing on her balcony
Thinking of those wasted years
Feeling depressed and downtrodden
Wondering how she ended up in this quicksand of a life
She can feel herself drowning in those failed yesterdays
He came into her life like a sandstorm
A sweet commotion stirring up buried emotions
His flattering lips, words like honey from the honeycomb
Penetrated her tender heart leaving her hungry for his seductive lies
She had seen other women enjoying the pleasures
That love had to offer
But her heart was locked away in a vault securely
Never to be opened, never to be exposed
But those years of oppressing the need to be loved
Had created a vacuum and desperation for the very thing
She had dismissed
Led by her hunger for love's pleasures
She blindly stumbled into another conspiracy to be defrauded
An ocean of deception and lies
Now standing on her balcony twenty five stories high
Gazing across the rugged terrain
Filled with twelve year old scotch hoping to find relief
For her failed and miserable life
She embrace the thought of a fatal fall
She can see the end, she can feel the consolation.
