FREDRICK THE FLYING FROG

FREDRICK THE FLYING FROG
Fredrick the frog
Was smart as can be
He could swim, and leap,
Even climb a tree.
He knows how to sing
He makes his own songs
He can catch any fly
With his extra long tongue.
He had bumps on his back
And bumps on his face
A pointy nose, and a tiny tail.
His eyes were green
His belly white,
He's quiet in the daytime,
And sings at night.
But there was something
Fredrick the frog always wanted to do
To fly like a bird under sky of blue.
To be able to go from place to place
Souring through the air without a trace
Making new friends as he travel along
Eating flys, and singing frog songs.
So one day, Fredrick the frog
Climb high in a tree
Today is the day, I will fly
Just you wait and see.
He got to top
And closed his eyes
He leaped off the tree
And begin to fly.
It did not take long
For Fredrick to know
something was wrong
As he began to sing
His belly hit the ground.
He bounced up on his feet
And brushed himself off
As he continue to sing
The birds began to laugh.
Fredrick the frog
Payed them no mind
But began to climb up that same tree
For a second time.
