A fable

I often wonder what our ancient ancestors thought as mother nature painted a rainbow ribbon across the roof of their skies. They had no scientific explanation to dampen the outpourings of their imaginations. But as they looked up in awe at natures wonder, it may have seemed to them, a harbinger of hope, new beginnings and fruitfull change.
Out of the mists of time, a folklore, grew up around the meaning of the rainbow, and its appearance in the sky. Myths and legends spoke of the great treasure, that awaited those that could reach the rainbows end. An illusive place, a crossing between the spirit realm and the visible world.
But the truth about the treasure at the end of the rainbow is that it can never be found by chasing rainbows. The only way to reach the treasure is to become one with the rainbow, for when you become the rainbow, truely ,you have found the treasure.

I love this Paul first because the rainbow is a beautiful sight ,we all wish of the gold at the end,and as we grow up we realise its not there. but it turns into a more adult approach- love - life and learning. My 10 year old girl last year saw a rainbow in the petrol leak on the ground she said "mammy how is that a rainbow " wasnt hard to explain but it took the whole innocence off the rainbow dream for her . now shes interested in the folklore you spoke about - how it became the gold pot .And hopefully she will find the rainbow in her life some day and get that treasure .
love this 5 stars -nom and a fav ;)
