Uncle Jack is Dead
These are my last words, so hear them well.
They told me things and all I did was listen. That's polite you know. You should try it. Yeah, anyway, all I did was listen. Are you hearing me now?
These are my last words, so hear them well.
I think you are paying attention. Maybe not?
These are my last words, so hear them well.
Anyway, so I listen to what these people tell me and it sometimes gets confusing. But I listen anyway because that's polite you know. You asked me what I did. I told you, "Just listening to Uncle Jack."
These are my last words, so hear them well.
"Sweetheart," you said. "Uncle Jack is dead. He has been for over a year now."
These are my last words, so hear them well.
"Dead!" I screamed. "No I won't hear of it! That is a terrible lie to tell someone."
These are my last words, so hear them well.
You took me to a doctor. He said, "Swallow one of these every day, son, and everything will be normal again real soon."
I took the small tic tac because I wanted everything to be normal again. I wanted you to be normal, you see?
These are my last words, so hear them well.
But no, it did not work. You kept on telling me that Uncle Jack is dead. I was confused. Why didn't the doctor give you the tic tacs?
These are my last words, so hear them well.
I saw Uncle Jack after that. He had eyes that reminded me of a broken heart, but I did not see his heart, but it was open at the same time. I know what that feels like. I know what lots of things feel like.
These are my last words, so hear them well.
You took me to another doctor and he did test me and I passed the test. You were surprised I don't have the skitz thingo. He told you to take me back to the other type of doctor.
These are my last words, so hear them well.
I saw Uncle Jack again after that. Do you know what he said? It is a confusing thing he said. This is what he said. "You do not have copper around your eyes, Ethan." What a funny thing he said.
These are my last words, so hear them well.
Doctor Brian shined a small light in my eyes and said a funny thing too. "There is no trace of copper around your son's deep-brown eyes."
These are my last words, so be well.
"Give my condolences to those who believe death is what happens when we die; something wonderful inside of them is buried very deep."
That was the last time Uncle Jack spoke to me, and I heard him well.

Congrats Goran - was hoping this would get a place ! tina x
Just incase anybody was curious, the adult (head and shoulder section) and the child (half face) in the photograph are both me. It forms an introspective collaboration between the adult and the said child ;)
Congratulations Goran, on your win :)
Hi everyone. I am not sure where to put this, but I created an audio and visual version of Child's Psychosis for those with certain disabilities.
Anyway, here is the link if anyone wishes to hear and/or see it.
