Fantasy land

Once upon a time, there was a little girl that lived in her own fantasy land. Her name is Lydia and she is a only child.  Lydia's mother always adored her and gave her plenty of love. She got everything she wanted as a child especially on Christmas day. She remembers getting a cabbage patch doll, Barbie dolls and a lot of fancy clothes.  Her favorite toy was the slinky Lydia thought that was one of the coolest toys ever made.

Lydia was a spoiled brat sometimes who was ungrateful when things didn't go her way.  She didn't realize that her mom couldn't spend more time with her because she worked two jobs since she was a single parent.

Lydia tried hard to understand life and why her father wasn't involved in her life but her mother didn't talk about that or explain her life story. This really disturbed Lydia when her mother didn't want to talk about her dad because Lydia wanted to get acquainted with her father. She also hated when family would make negative comments about her dad.

Today, Lydia is a grown women and still doesn't have a relationship with her dad.  It's something that Lydia has learned to accept.  Lydia used to live in fantasy land and is now she has grown up and understands the truth about her mother and father's relationship and deal with the fact that relationships don't always work out the way we desire them to be.

Lydia has three daughters and she always encourages them to have a relationship with their father although she is  a single parent. She understands the importance of a father's role in her children's lives and wants the family to have healthy relationships since this is something Lydia never had. She doesn't want her kids to grow up in a fantasy land like she did.
