Genesis Revised

There was once,

In the universe, only one realm.

Chaos.

All beings were fluid within it,

all things incorporeal,

save that of a single grain of dust,

floating in the Inky darkness,

blazing with a furious light, pushing away the dark.

And so It happened, on a day before time began,

that something extraordinary happened.

A being of light was born into Chaos,

from the seed of light came forth a being,

of truth and mercy it consisted.

and of life it promised.

And against it formed from chaos,

a darkness far greater than its brothers.

Seeking to extinguish the flame of the light forever.

In frustration it toiled on, trying to subdue the light,

surrounding the seed from which it sprung.

But all did not go to darkness.

Nay, the light exploded forth in a tempest of color,

Weaving through the dark in all direction.

And so from Greed, the Light shone brightest.
