"God knows?" By Ben Goode 2017

A young man had left a party early one night. Seeing his best friend with his girlfriend had infuriated him.
He had literally cracked the nearest wall with his fist on the way out of the house. He didn't even feel the pain, he was so furious.
He got into his car. He saw his girlfriend had run out in an attempt to stop him leaving. But she was too late.
"Zack come back! Please!" She called out after him.
He gunned his car engine expressing his fury through it, and he sped off down the highway.
His speeding didn't even occur to him as he rocketed along. And he didn't even care where he was going.
But randomly he found a turn off just off the highway and decided to take it, and his car was skillfully drifted to compensate for his speed.
He drove for a time up a dirt track and to a lookout, and parked his car. He got out and walked the rest of the way up.
He was completely alone and wanted to be.He finally found a place to vent his anger, and he did as he screamed out as loud as he could. Swearing every word he could possibly think of.
"Why did she do this? Why? What was she thinking? And my best friend! Fuck, fuck this. I can't do this! I can't deal with this shit!
I don't want this anger I don't want it! It hurts, it fucking hurts! Fucking take it! Take my fucking ANGER TAKE IT! TAKE IT!"
Suddenly a flash of lightning flickered in the sky. Followed by a body shuddering roll of thunder. But he didn't move as it quickly escalated. In fact he seemed to enjoy it.
"That's right! That's it FUCKING TAKE THIS! Bring on this shit, COME ON!" Zack yelled furiously at the sky.
He saw a face form in the clouds, and the thunder and lightning continued to build up to dangerous heights. But still the man remained unmoved as the face drew closer.
The Zeus like face addressed Zack with surprising familiarity.
"Son you are so angry. You know its dangerous to summon me. You must control yourself. You can't let this human emotion fuel your power. Jealousy is a highly unstable emotion especially. You cannot reveal who you are to the mortals." The face of clouds said with concern as the storm rumbled within it.
"But they fucked me over, they both did. I wanted to destroy them. I wanted to destroy fucking everything!" Zack cried out.
"Of course you did. And you did the right thing by leaving." Zeus explained "But its lucky you didn't destroy that house when you punched the wall. You must be careful my son. You must channel these feelings away. Bring on a storm yes. But with less intensity and isolate it away as best you can. You must not try and deliberately hurt or kill anyone. Especially not with a vengeful heart. That is the way of Aries. And he will try and influence you again, as he has now. Your friend never did that to you with your girl. Aries did, disguising himself to look like your friend. And he nearly pushed you over the edge." Zeus continued.
"Aries did this?" Zack asked, even more exasperated.
"Aries represents everything of war and hatred. He and Loki often work together. Now son you must wind down this storm front. The mortals weren't expecting this storm on their weather forecast." Zeus laughed. "Not that I am a very good example to go by. Now go back to your girlfriend. And try and be happy my son." Zeus said before he disappeared.
Zack seemed to simmer down and the storm started to calm down a little, But a few rumblings remained.
A message beeped onto Zacks phone suddenly and he read it.
"I'm sorry Zack, please, nothing happened I promise, Hey I love you. Are you coming back?"
Zack fried the phone in his hands and tossed it over the cliff like a fire ball. And he started to walk back down to his car.
"Be Happy he say's! Its not that simple " Zack said under his breath."You wouldn't know!
