God, the Plough
God is the Plough that guides the strayed sheep
To find way Home indeed
上帝是北斗
迷途羔羊回家走

Our ancestors, no matter what nationality, must all followed the plough stars to find directions in their lives. They would have had a lot of what’s and ifs, and came to the same conclusion that the Plough is God’s shining lights for us human beings!
Interestingly, the plough has been adopted as the flag by organisations or nations. Here are very obviously modern examples I’ve found.
(1) Starry Plough was originally designed by George William Russell for the Irish Citizen Army.

(2) Flag of Alaska was designed by Benny Benson, and he submitted this description with it:
The blue field is for the Alaska sky and the forget-me-not, an Alaskan flower.
The North Star is for the future state of Alaska, the most northerly in the Union.
The dipper is for the Great Bear — symbolizing strenth [sic].

Mr Benson’s description is rather poetic so it’s worth my Chinese translation:
藍背景是阿拉斯加天空，“勿忘我”吾鄉之花
小熊星為未來之吾州，聯邦之最北涯
北斗就是大熊星座 — 象徵美利堅強大
