On Mahtab Bangalee's "You Are My Poem"
In the preface of my recent published anthology of 101 CN-EN
bilingual poems (1), I've quoted the late US philosopher-scientist
and spiritualist Joseph Alexander Sadony's words: "A GOOD POEM
is but the melody of a thinker's song: the words, the seed of his dream."
Poetry is the expression of a poet's heart, and also the poet's
vision of the world. Hence we know a poet/ess through reading
his/her poems.
I like all good poems as they offer invaluable seeds in the speakers'
dreams, muses of inspirations. My anthology includes some translated
beautiful classics and modern poems from around the world, besides
my own.
Mahtab Bangalee's "You Are My Poem" is one of those good poems
I like, and included in my anthology with his kind permission. In the poem,
the speaker's view is inspirational:
From letters, to words, to sentences,
a poem is then made, aiming to find
its readers (you): a like-minded human
being.
Yes, that a poet likes to compose poems is to express his ideas
and intended to find his audience, even if only a few. Human is
human because we can think, write and like to exchange ideas.
Well done, Mahtab. And thank you very much for your kind and
encouraging words (2) regarding my poems.

Dear Poet Yiyan, I could say a dozen words, but I am going to say only four: You have my respect.
P.S. You Are My Poem is superb, brilliant. I would like Poet Mahtab to know that. Greetings, Bernadete
Thank you, Bernadete. Regards.
Dear Poet, it's a huge effort translating poems, specially to a very complex
language. I just have to say again that I have a tremendous respect for your
outstanding work and also that I recognise the importance of your chosen subject which is Humanity.
Regards,
Bernadete
