Story -

Her Sacrifice, Her Servitude

A rich and young entrepreneur is sat talking his life over with his psychiatrist. The young man is complaining about his troubles; his life, feeling like he is stuck in a dead end job and that his marriage is going sour. The psychologist asks the young man "Do you have a wife?", "Yes", the young man replied. "Does she work?" the psychologist asked. The young man replied "No, she doesn't need to work as I pay for her".

The psychologist further questions the young man and asks "What does your wife do when you go out to work in the morning?", the young man replied "she feeds our children, takes them to school and cleans the house as she is up at 5am, but she doesn't work". The psychologist pressed for more information and asked "what does your wife whilst she waits for you to get home in the evening?", the young man replied "She picks up the kids from school, helps them with their homework, washes their dirty uniforms and cooks them their tea before getting them ready for bed, but she doesn't work".

The psychologist asked "what do you do when your wife gets home and what does she do?", the young man replied "I relax and lay on the sofa whilst catching up on television programmes I have missed, my wife will cook us something to eat, prepare the children's packed lunches for school, clean up the mess the children have made and do the ironing, but she doesn't work".

The psychologist mulled his thoughts over for a few moments and replied "Young man, clearly you have no appreciation of the beautiful wife that you possess. Her sacrifice, each and every day is priceless. She is more of a prisoner than you are, perhaps she does enjoy her life but consider the possibility that she doesn't. Appreciate your woman along with the thousands of other women who work hard every day of their lives without any recognition.

Go home, talk with your wife, appreciate her, love her, and let her know how sorry you are for being so selfish. Try changing yourself and try to understand her better.

If you truly follow through and mean it, I doubt you and I will be sitting face to face again.
