Like A Race

Like A Race

Life is not a race. Of course! It’s not. We’ve not been put on tracks to compete against one another. We run—but not on tracks.  Our courses may be similar but can never be the same. A start line has not been drawn before us; likewise a finish line. We are not athletes of a particular league fighting for a medal. We are different parts of a whole—like the ingredients and spices that make a soup. Success is but a perception—a perception subject to varying interpretations. Success is not defined. For some success means getting. For others, it means giving. For some, there is peace in a piece. To others, owning a piece is nothing but failure. Indeed, we are on different courses. It is no race!
Life is like a race. Like a race, we need to adequately prepare to run the full length of the track. Success does not come on a silver platter. We need to tear muscles and break bones if we want to have that gold medal around our necks. It’s like a race. The best-prepared is not always guaranteed a win. An unanticipated sprain in what you need to run—the muscle, can prematurely end your race. When we fall, we rise and continue running. When our muscles fail, we prepare for the next run. Because it’s like a race, we keep our eyes on the prize and run—knowing we have no choice but to run. Our survival as athletes depends on running. So we run. We keep running until we cross our finish lines.

Hello Anthony...

I have seen enough evidence to say we have a Soul...

More and more people are witnessing it also...

Like A Race as you say and you talk about the finish ine...

It isn't for us as a body but, our body runs it for our Soul?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...
