           A Mans Promise

The other night I couldn't sleep I was tossing and turning. So I sat up a little on my side of the bed slightly turned towards you. And as I focused on you I noticed you softly breathing , slowly the covers rose and fell. I don't know how long I was watching you before I realized our breathing was in rythem. It was like if we were one. It was at this time that I started reminiscing on our past. All our old memories started flooding my mind, it was like I was watching a movie. Now that I think about it, it was kind of eary kind of like those stories you hear when some one has a near death experience and there whole life flashes before them. Well that's what happened to me. My journey in to our passed started with the first time I seen you at work. I'll never forget that day ; you walking in all beautiful  and assure of your self. The luv bug bit me hard that day;) all the other guys were like dam she's hot me being a guy played along, but something felt different about you. I couldn't really say what was different about you from other girls,all I knew is that you were different and not in a bad way. When we started going out I was the happiest guy in the world. I was like those guys in the movies that were in love ,and when they left there girls house they would run down the street and jump in there air and slap the leaves off a tree;) That was me young and in love and no one could of told me different. You remember we couldn't be with out each other. How we would search for places to be alone together. We would go to your house or mine and if they weren't empty we would go to the beach or camping. I couldn't be leave a girl like really wanted me. You showed me a love I never felt before,not even from my mother. I remember promising the Lord; that if he made you mine, I would love you and your daughter with all my heart and that I would dedicate my life to providing for you both. It is said that behind every great guy there Is a strong women. I know that I haven't really told you. But it's because of you that I've accomplished so much in my life. All those long hour I worked all the sacrifices I made were for you and the kids. I don't think I would of made it ,if you weren't by my side supporting me. When I felt I was on my last leg you would call me it was as if You knew I needed you. That's how I knew you were my sole mate. I know we fight a lot and I want to work through these hard times. But I want to tell you that I'm glad you are still here by side. There has never been another girl in my life and there will never be one that could make me feel the way you do. If you were ever to leave me my heart would go with you. We started this journey together my love,my everything . And I believe that The Lord will give us both the strength to Finnish it together.
