My Childhood Treasure

Kring... Kring.. Kring...

Alarm clock starts ringing. I woke up and get out of bed excitedly. It's weekend morning, the day I'm always looking forward everyday.

I eat my breakfast hurriedly and get a basket and move out of the house wearing my best smiles. I LOVE this day, and will always love Saturday's and Sunday's where I'm not in school. :)

LYN... LYN!!! I shouted so loud and see my friend Robelyn coming.

Let's go! I told her and we start walking going to our favorite place. The forest across the river.

My friend quickly move and lead the way. Without being aware of the journey, instantly were now in the place and rush onward to the great number of guava fruit trees that gross in the area.

Robelyn and my eye blinked seeing the guava trees that bears plenty of ripe fruits. We both climb and quickly filled our basket with fruits.

Carrying the basket full of guavas. we move back on our way and go near the river. We put down our basket into a place. And  without any hesitation we both jump into the water and swim. It feels so relaxing to soaked ourselves into the cool and clean water. Playing and trying to catch the small fishes that swims near us.

I smiled while my eyes close, reminisce the memories I have when I was a child, while my heart pinch to see the big changes. MY CHILDHOOD TREASURE is gone, the forest became a village full of houses and the river was now full of garbage.

Changes was so past, I didn't even got notice how it happens.

It feels so sad to see the reality that our place had became.

People has been too abusive to nature that leads to damage God's creation. The paradise that he give's that has been once MY TREASURE..
