My Perspective on Life

Most people probably won't agree with many things I say here, but this is just the way I see things. I hope you enjoy.

I am not very religious. It's not that I don't have faith. I just believe that there is more to the meaning of the universe than the possibility that God created it. I don't spend my life basing every decision I make upon what I think God would do or what God would want. I'm not perfect. Nobody is. I'm going to make mistakes but everybody is bound to at some point. That's the point of free will. You can choose to do what you want to do. It may not be the best decision but it is yours and you own that decision and you can either choose to learn from it or ignore your consequences and continue to make the same mistakes. That doesn't mean that you don't know right from wrong and need to be taught. The whole point of free will is to be able to learn from your mistakes when you are ready. Until that point, the justice system is qualified to handle the problems you may or may not cause. Anyway, enough about free will. That isn't what I am here to talk about. I'm here to talk about this universe. We don't know how it started but I believe that there is a possibility that God did not create it. God may not even be a person. I think there is a God but it isn't a higher being. God could be the atmosphere around us, the air we breathe, the trees we grow, the ground we walk on, etc. My theory is that Earth very well may have created itself. One astrological event after another, Earth's core could very possibly and coincidentally been created, thus generating the land; the planet we live on today. It's all just speculation and theorem but when you think about it, it kind of makes sense in a way. Now, many people say that something cannot be created from nothing. My question to you is, if you believe there is a God, who created him? If something cannot be created from nothing, what or who created God? We could speculate and theorize the answers to these questions for centuries, but there is .1 out of an 1,000,000,000% chance that we will ever find the answers we seek. That is why I live my life without dependence. I don't depend on God to tell me what is right and wrong. I know the difference between right and wrong and I will continue to live by the laws my country set out for us until the day that I leave this earth. Only then will we truly know our full potential.
