Poem Title :
LET LOVE GUIDE YOUR FIRE
Wild and lawless as some storm
that breaks on stagnant seas—
my desires growl and snort,
tug on the quiet thread
of connection I have spun.
In laughter, in love, in eyes which grin,
my heart gallops,
sometimes forget to breathe,
to stem the waves
that swipe at shores of trust.
I see the ripples grow,
need to learn how to tame them,
how to turn down the heat,
to nurse the peace
I yearn for in tumult.
So here, beneath the sky.
I remind myself,
whispering these words,
"Keep steady, breathe deep,
let love guide your fire."
