Poem:
GIVE UP YOUR ANXIETY
Your anxiety, so childish, I say,
About my affection to you,
Is baseless,dear baby.
You being my disciple the best,
And your reverence unstained
Yet I can't express it openly
Before yours and mine
Class of people.
A few reasons serious. Support my argument wise
Suppose, I am a gardener,
He does love all the flowers
In his garden , doesn't he ?
Yet his eyes and heart may
Linger long on the red rose,
That has aligned though on The Thorny plant.
While he 's been watering Every plants,
His heart rests calmly inside,
But as he nears the rose,
It begins to leap up .
Warming his physic and psyche gently,
He pauses by it for longer.
My affection resembles to
An ewe to her own lamb
Among the flock
Often looking curiously at it slone,
While some with it are
About to wander. away.
It is like the mother hen
Whose heart bubbles at the Sight of her chicks,
Among ducklings that too Were hatched 'under
Days ' warmth of her breast..
My love to you is true
Definitely, I feel Universal love
Yet, you are lucky a lot,
Being the one who has the place at
The inner most center of my heart.
So let not anxiety eat upon you,
Until you turn a living spectrum in woe.
I assert my affection is
Not transient like lightning.
But permanent like the sun.

POETIC VIEWS:
The poem delves into a deep spiritual connection between the poet and her own disciple. The love expressed is not merely human affection but a divine bond, rooted in spiritual understanding and shared experiences. The poet acknowledges the potential for misunderstanding, especially within a societal context that might not fully grasp the nature of their bond. The fear of misinterpretation leads to a sense of constraint and longing for open expression.
The poem employs powerful metaphors to convey the depth of the poet's love. The gardener's affection for the red rose, the ewe's for her lamb, and the hen's for her chicks symbolize the unique and cherished nature of the disciple-guru relationship. The red rose, the lamb, and the chicks are potent symbols of beauty, vulnerability, and divine grace. The best element of this poem is the poet’s vivid imagery, such as the gardener tending to his flowers and the mother hen nurturing her young, creates a strong emotional impact. The poet attributes human qualities to inanimate objects, such as the rose and the sun, to enhance the emotional depth of the poem.
The poem is a touching expression of love, devotion, and the complexities of human relationships, especially those rooted in spiritual practice. It explores the delicate balance between public perception and private sentiment, and the enduring nature of true love. The use of metaphors and imagery adds depth and richness to the poem, making it a powerful and moving piece of literature.- WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
