ABOUT THE ABOVE TITLE
Prior to 1950's, an American Weather Bureau divided clouds in the sky into classes from one to nine. The highest of the clouds which reaches nearly 40,000feets. A popular radio show in the 195o's Johnny Dollar, had an episode in which the hero was knocked down unconscious and was transported to a "cloud nine". Here he was revived and lived to be the hero again in future. It was through this show that the phrase came into popular use.
The poem starts
An angelic host must have witnessed how I pine
‘Cause here we are now, up on cloud number nine
(This is the place we all call the cloud No 9. It is a saying in English language. Cloud Number 9 is an expression. The Cloud 9 is supposed to be the highest level you can attain to heaven.....it dates way back as an expression. To say, "I am floating on cloud number nine" is saying you are at your peak of bliss and love. Silly, but true, says Poetess Cherie Sumner)
I never knew the way, but heaven heard my cries
Started walking up clouds while gazing in your eyes
(Here Poetess Cherie Sumner depicts the way towards love which dwells in heaven. Heaven is the palace or presence-chamber of the high and holy One, whose name is love, and who is both the cause and source of all holy love. God, considered with respect to his essence, is everywhere God fills both heaven and in between the earth.)
Swept off my feet, effortlessly floating in mid-air
Puffy clouds of bliss encompassed us everywhere
( There are many things in this planet that in the general are lovely, but yet are not perfectly free from that which is the contrary. There are spots on the sun; and so there are many men that are most amiable and worthy to be loved, who yet are not without some things that are disagreeable and unlovely.)
And when you held me tight in your warm embrace
I left all behind; lost my sense of time and space
( An embrace and a kiss is a symbolic instincts of deep love)
You and me against the world; let it all disappear
No desire to ever come down; what we need is here
(The desire should never to be lowered, but to be maintained at the level of the Cloud No 9 itself )
Each lingering kiss and loving touch just affirms
We thrive in this atmosphere; love makes its own terms
( In every heart in heaven, love dwells and reigns. The heart of God is the original seat or subject of love. Divine love is in him, not as in a subject that receives it from another, but as in its original seat, where it is of itself. Love is in God, as light is in the sun, which does not shine by a reflected light.)
Eternity in your arms would feel like paradise
To leave our former life behind is no sacrifice
(This love is not confined to such bodily exercises. It flows out in innumerable streams toward all the created inhabitants of heaven)
The view and weather is always perfectly fine
So let us stay right here, up on cloud number nine
(The lovers decide to stay back in the cloud no 9 . Congrats dear Poetess of Love, dear Cherie Sumner. This is a fabulous verse, My love, My applause to the Poetess)

The real love or affection is said to be always a caring love for the pleasure of another person without wanting anything in return. It’s also real love when other people think about about our happiness unreservedly. With Real Love, people are not disappointed or irritated when we make our foolish mistakes, when we don’t do what they want, or even when we inconvenience them personally. Real love or affection is always unconditional. When I use the word happiness, I do not mean the brief and superficial pleasure that comes from money, sex, power, or the conditional approval we earn from others when we behave as they want. Nor do I mean the temporary feeling of happiness we encounter or experience in the absence of immediate conflict or tragedy. Real happiness is not the feeling we get from being entertained or making people do what we want. Real happiness is a profound and lasting sense of peace and fulfillment that deeply satisfies and enlarges the soul. It doesn’t go away when circumstances are difficult. It survives and even grows during hardship and struggle. True happiness is our entire reason to live, and it can only be obtained as we find Real Love and share it with others. With Real Love, nothing else matters; without it, nothing else is enough.
