BREAKING FREE
Chinda Gudenproppa
For so many years
I have tried my best
You just treat me badly
Like a dog you detest
I gave you healthy children
The heirs to your throne
Your reward for this
Was to break my bones
I know you wanted boys
God doesn't allow us choice
I prayed so many times
Yet he didn't hear my voice
I'm not allowed friends
I rarely ever go out
If I do, you chastise me
I get frightened when you shout
I never wanted to marry you
My family made it so
You're cruelty disgusts me
That's why i must go

Welcome to COSMO SITE, dear Poetess. Thanks for sharing and posting your wonderful verse based of family issues. This is the first verse from Chinda Gudenproppa's Pen.
Marriage life requires kindness and consideration, the moment you stop working on your marriage is the moment it begins to fail.Maintaining a healthy marriage requires sacrifices, attention and care. It helps to think of your marriage as a living thing in itself. Like all living things, it needs nourishment and shelter, healing when it is sick, and space to grow and flourish. These are all pleasant words, but what does that mean on a practical level? It means you need to always think about your marriage and life after marriage which is very important and not take it for granted. It means you need to be cautious against things that might terrorize it, not just the obvious things like temptation, but the delicate things like imbalances in responsibility and duty, comparisons to others, jealousy and so on. It means you need to nourish your marriage with thoughtfulness for the other’s needs, find time together and sometimes even time apart. It means when things are going wrong you need to stop and think about how you can improve them and perhaps what sacrifices you need to make. It means that a marriage needs to go forward, to change as you both change and to grow stronger. Welcome to COSMO with your first poem with a family theme. Congrats dear Poetess Chinda Gudenproppa for sharing your wonderful poem with us. Pour more and more verses. God bless
