Oh Lord you’ve graced us with a wonderful platform

( The Poetess is praising God for giving the Mother Earth, a place for living )

You’ve given us our very own motherland

( The resources and bountifulness of our Mother earth needs to be preserved )

But I’m sorry

( The poetess is regretting )

We’ve given you every reason to worry

( The human resources is now is extending its powerful hands to destroy our Mother Earth )

Our hearts are breaking

( The world is moving fast with its developments, but good hearts are in pain )

Our stars are dimming

( The entire universe in a big threat )

But worst of all,

Our mother is dieing

( Mother Earth is suffering out of calamities and disasters )

Your intentions were right

( Human intentions are not wrong, but sometimes is hurts the Mother Earth )

But unfortunately, too far out of sight

Help us find the light

Free us of this fright

( The Poetess is praying to free the mind for the welfare of Mother Earth. A Good concept, well presented )

Rewind backwards and more than forty years back, it was clear to see that what our wise elders and visionaries have prophesied for so many years is now upon us.  Our sacred Mother Earth – who gives life to all living things – is seriously injured, violated, poisoned, and worn out by the activity of our Human Family. Colonialism, industrialism, consumerism, fighting and a lack of religious understanding are primary drivers of this growing, unalterable physical attack on our beloved Mother Earth. Our ancestors have long understood and wisely shared, many times, that these destructive forces are, in turn, driven by greed, selfishness, ignorance, fear, and materialism. In recent decades we have heard repeatedly, from the best of our world`s scientific, educational, social and environmental institutions, that our collective human activity is increasingly threatening the future generations of our children and rapidly destroying our Mother Earth. Human activities have caused massive species extinctions, threatening the well-being of all members of the Human Family. The pressures on ecosystems will increase globally in coming decades unless human attitudes and actions change dramatically. To restore and protect our Mother Earth’s natural systems and resources will require coordinated efforts across the countries. Please accept my applause and Congratulation for sharing this good theme through your verse with COSMO viewers.
