If thy tears fall like sand,

(The eye's tears are composed of three layers: oil, water and mucous. Tears are  the secretion of eyes, which often serves to clean and lubricate them, This is why we pour tears as a response to an irritation of the eyes. Tears formed through crying and are associated with strong internal emotions, such as sorrows, elation, awe or pleasure.  Laughing or yawning may also lead to the production of tears. The poetess is using a poetic language. The word "thy" is used as matter of politeness)
Let them scratch thy eyes,

(This comes out of irritation of life problems )
If thy memories taunt like thunder,

(Memories you cherish before a breakup can become your worst enemies at a later stage. The feelings you loved to think about, the memories you wanted to hold up to the light and view from every angle--it suddenly seems a lot safer to lock them in a box, far from the light of day and throw away the key.)

Cast them across thy skies,

(The sky, clouds, and rain – all are associated with the life in view of natures bountifulness)

If moving on cuts so deep ,

(It is  not an act of bitterness. It's an act if self-preservation. It's not always a bad idea to stay behind the window and look out at life instead.)

Let deathly knives be thy rise,

(The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared)

If to live again ,

(Memories warm you up from the inside. But they also tear you apart)

cause such sorrows,

(Tears are  idle tears and they come from the depths of some divine despair . The pour in the heart, and gather to the eyes)

Let there be light within all tomorrows .

(No matter how much suffering you went through, you never wanted to let go of those memories.)

READ BETWEEN THE LINES

__________________________

Listen to the people who love you. Believe that they are worth living for even when you don't believe it. Seek out the memories depression takes away and project them into the future. Be brave; be strong.

We have always learned that if we must leave a place that you have lived in and loved and where all your yesteryear's are buried deep, leave it any way except a slow way, leave it the fastest way you can. Never turn back and never believe that an hour you remember is a better hour because it is dead.  Passed years seem safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance. Isn't it funny how the memories you cherish before a breakup can become your worst enemies afterwards? The thoughts you loved to think about, the memories you wanted to hold up to the light and view from every angle--it suddenly seems a lot safer to lock them in a box, far from the light of day and throw away the key. It's not an act of bitterness. It's an act if self-preservation. It's not always a bad idea to stay behind the window and look out at life instead.

Thank you with deepest appreciation for your clear expression on my write "tomorrow's light" it is indeed as you say self preservation, memories of the happiest times cause such heartache, moving on isn't as easy as quoted, bound in memories, in time they will shine bright again, once hurt heals, I'm very happy to be looking out my window at the light from future sky's, even if there are days in between when yesterday held painful memories,
thank you again sir, your write on the subjects were very identifiable to the readers mind, kind loving thanks to you sir williamsji, xoxo Nardine Sanderson xx
