Dear Lord,

Upon my knees I come to you to pray
I am nervous and a bit scared today
Tony is having spinal surgery
I am sure you know this worries me
There is risk involved, lasers on his spine
Let there not be mistakes of any kind
Please guide the surgeons with consummate skill
With precision, as my love lies still
This, the first of three surgeries to be
Offers hope for less pain and more quality
Of life for one who is so revered
By many, and held in my heart so dear

( There are many ways for prayer and different forms of prayers. I shall narrate and confine my comments to remote, intercessory prayer, which involves the capacity of one human being to influence another living being at a distance. This comments are need to be treated from a Poet's point of view and not that of spiritual leader. Poetry is like a prayer and I hope my comments too will be added into that kind of definition of prayers overall. I just pray for a poet who has undergoing surgery. Let us preach for prayer and for a healing from its pain and agony )

Dear Lord,

I look forward to a future with his love
So grateful, I cannot express enough
How thankful I am you sent us on path
Two lost soulmates, united now to laugh
And love and learn, with you at our life’s wheel
This spiritual connection we feel
Is all from your gracious omnipotence
I will protect this love with diligence
As I know he is the most precious gift
Please allow his recovery to be swift
And feel my love with him, throughout his soul
With trust in You, I relinquish my control

( I really appreciate the way Poetess Cherie Sumner has depicted her words, sentences in the form a prayer. What is prayer? I define it very broadly as "communication with the Absolute," and I invite you to enlarge this definition in your own way. This definition is broad enough to encompass all the major religions including nontheistic traditions such as Buddhism, for whom prayer is vital but who do not pray to a personal god.)

Many researchers in both in spiritual and medical field advise for prayers to be held since, life is nit in our own control. The word prayer is international and is applicable to each and every human born in this universe. We often prefer to use the term "distant intentionality" instead of prayer, in order to avoid religious connotations and to emphasize the determined, mental aspect of prayer. I shall follow the same practice - although I recognize that in Western cultures prayer usually occurs in a religious context and is connected with spiritual practice of some variety.

Lord Jesus, please accept this write-up as my own prayer words for an easy cure and healing of my brother Tony Taylor, and dear Cherie Sumner, many thanks and congrats for sharing this prayer for Tony Taylor with our COSMOFUNNEL readers.

Let God's  Blessings be showered on all those who suffer in this world. I just write this for them.
