Note: I have divided the poem into two parts for appreciation sake Hope there is no objection from Hon. Poetess
Part 1 (Questions)
Good, bad, or indifferent
Whatever be the checkerboard of my life (Very intelligent way of expression by the Poetess)
I couldn't thank God enough (The words God has become empty of meaning through thousands of years of misuse)
He gave me crosses, He removed them ( The concept is highly spiritual)
I faltered, He carried them for me ( This is excellent in its depiction)
I stooped under their weight, He put them on His shoulder (Here Lord Jesus is being remembered)
I asked Him was my life worth it? ( A Question to the creator)
Part 2 ( Answers)
He pointed to the blushing rose, I stopped to inhale its fragrance
He guided me to the blue mountain, I drank my fill
He showed me the gurgling stream, I laughed with it
He took me to a wounded bird, I sang to her
He wiped the tears from an orphan's face, I cried with Him
He stood by the body of the dead, I wiped His tears
He stared into the leaping flames, I searched for life in the embers
He held my hand in His, I knew what my life meant

The poem is very thought provoking and a subject of discussion. The word God has become empty of meaning through thousands of years of misuse. By misuse, I mean that people who have never even glimpsed the realm of the sacred, the infinite vastness behind that word, use it with great conviction, as if they knew what they are talking about, or they argue against it, as if they knew what it is that they are denying. This misuse gives rise to absurd beliefs, assertions, and egoism and its delusions, such as " My or our God " is the only true God, and your God is false, or some others remarks God is dead.
Congrats dear Poetess Shaiqua Murshed for sharing such a thought provoking verse to COSMOFUNNEL viewers/readers.

Thank you, Mr. Maveli, for the wonderful explanation of my poem. Religion or spirituality is strength for those who believe. And I do not scoff at the non believer, the world is for everyone. My religion is mixed, just as I am religiously and ethnically mixed. The religion I practice is a religion of tolerance, a religion where I question God with humble audacity. And He answers..
Dear Poetess,
This is the first time, you are scribbling in a liberal way with much thoughts. Your poems are fabulous and hope your writings will get more and more readership. Good luck

I am the shy, reticent type, except on Facebook !!!!!!!
My writing are difficult to comprehend, to understand them one has to completely submit to life and view it very deeply.
Dear Shaiqua,
I respect you and admire you deeply on your distinct observational thoughts on life, both real and spiritual, also wish to appreciate and analysis them through my " POET'S PEN " which is going to be a book of poetry appreciation in my literary career. Thanks for your co-operation and support for my " POET's PEN "
