In my romantic fatigue, I stop to rest, in her
And bathe in her image
Of ever, lush green moments and connections
Let us enter the mirrored halls of Love
Where golden apples, fill the reflections
With juicy kisses
And the very taste of intimate promises
Between our hopes
And our desirous application
Of sweetened lips, that caress so softly
The dreams laid down in subtle beds, of harbor roses
That scents the landscape of Love
Which we, so eagerly, participate in
For the soul of her inquiry
Lies in amorous promises, and liquid honor
As if the flowers petals
Were born to be imbued, with our happiness
Our "Love Festival"
Trumpeting through the villages, Loves arrival
And those golden, juicy, kisses
Where first I stopped
To bathe
In her image
And to foresee the coming romance
Between Loves victory
And a chance
To embrace
Her intimate promises.......

Tony Taylor   (Chicago)

Love affairs are not about having another person complete you, but coming to the relationship whole and sharing your life interdependently. By letting go of the romantic ideal of assimilation and becoming one, you learn to love the distances in relationship as much as the togetherness. The key is to see the other as a mirror and learn from the reflection how you can be a better person. When you feel upset, rather than to blame others and point fingers, remain awake to what has yet to be healed in you.

The optimistic love occurs when you view the human being you are in love with as a sign or illustration of what they have come to represent, the idea. When you realize that more often than not you don’t really know your partner, you begin to discover who they are and how they change and evolve. In order to accept that love can’t rescue you from being alone, learn to spend time being with yourself. By feeling safe and secure to be on your own within the framework of relationship, you will feel more complete, happy, and whole.

True love only exists by loving yourself in the beginning.  You can only get from another person what you’re willing to give yourself. It’s easier to recognize the good in your partner when you’re connected to the good in yourself. Genuine happiness is not about feeling good about ourselves because other people love us; it’s more about how well we have loved ourselves and others.

Dear Poet Tony Taylor, Please accept my congratulations for sharing the above romantic verse for COSMO viewers. Standing with prayers and love, your brother WILLIAMSJI MAVELI

Dear Poetess Cherie Sumner,

"Love conquers all" this is a phrase that means love is capable of overcoming all obstacles such as fear or any other contradicting emotion. This saying is extracted from the works of a Roman poet known as Virgil. It is a very common phrase. Love defeats and surrenders, love does not consist in gazing at each other, or just embracing or kissing, but in looking ahead together in the same direction and target in life. Thanks for your comments and appreciation.

Mr. Maveli.....I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into "POETS PEN" and into this piece in particular..........it is seldom that people comment on my Love poems for Cherie.........I guess I write so many that it can appear to be a "little" much........but between Cherie and I they are something special and they quite often lead to amazing conversations about our future hopes and dreams.........thank you so much for helping us elaborate my brother...........your friend and admirer...........tony   xx

Dear Poet Tony Taylor,

Though Internet media is very powerful, I always go for print media and its possibilities in this new world of high technology. I dream to compile and put up for publishing all good poems in a collection, like POET'S PEN-PIUSHA POEMS, POET'S PEN-CHERIE POEMS, POET'S PEN-CAREY POEMS etc.

To be very frank with your dear Tony Taylor, I started writing my column " POET'S PEN " only because, I write too much on poetry and poetry related subjects, my poetry friend Poetess Piusha Singh approved on my suggestion of  this title for my column write, I found that most of the comments on the poems here are just in line only, Hence, I thought to make further elaborations, hence, In this context, “appreciation review” means paying attention to the elements of poetry construction – rhyme scheme, meter, stanza arrangement, imagery, etc. – that give the poem its balance, beauty, and effectiveness.  Writing an “appreciation” requires a dissection of the way the poet has achieved his/her effects, and should be constructed like any essay – introduction, body, conclusion, paying particular attention to those elements that give poetry its signature – succinctness, “concentrated word magic.”  If other poems by the same poet are known, you may discuss how this poem differs from or emulates the poet’s  “normal” style; in a longer appreciation, you may also discuss the “age” or “style” of the poem – Romantic, Victorian, etc. -- and you might discuss the generic style – sonnet, ode, etc.

A lot for me to implement in writing, publishing-Hope you will support in this regard.

Regards & Love
