Sideral, Brio Galaxy, Dwarf;

The planet was average sized; languidly it orbited around an ancient star that glowed white hot and seemed to be the center of this lowly universe.

Sidereal was a lone planet in the Brio galaxy. It had one moon, hardly ethereal, for it was so far away. Comets would frequently grace its presence, leaving glowing dust and indigo rocks to gracefully tumble around in ancient gravity and mystical starlight.

The people did not dwell on the exclusion of their planet. They had all they needed on it. And even so, the high thought of other planets was too much for them to contemplate. Their faith lie in the gods they deemed to affect their everyday life. Sabaians, was the official name, worshipers of the stars.

Sidereal was a planet forged in iron. The land was a rich umber with grey hills and clear water. From far away, the planet seemed to glow blue. It was a wonder, like the people, whose hair worn blue and whose bodies were scorched with marks forged like gold, depicting constellations and destinies and a mysterious sparkle of a marked civilization.

Nine gods, who dwelled in the past, controlled the lives of the people of Sidereal.

Lumen

Interitus

Praefectus

Genetrix

Unda

Ustrina

Fides

Ratio

Ignotus

They each controlled some element of daily life. Lumen, of the light and the star that warmed the planet and welcomed each Sabaian home; dwelled on star Adhafera. Interitus, death and destruction and decay, for even savages knew to feel real power. He resided on star Alterf. Praefectus was the guardian god, commander of of world and life. He was the most powerful and daunting, residing on star Rasalas. Gentrix, his wife, was mother of all borne life. She rested close to her husband on star Ras Elased. Unda was water, both fierce and trepid, residing on Chort; her counterpart was passion and fire- fire being only introduced a thousand years since the first ancestor had walked, ruling on Regulus. Fides was faith and belief, an ironic celestial being. He was part guide part wrath bringer. He dwelled upon star Tsze Tseang. Next was Ratio, god of logic, dwelling on Al Gieba. Finally there was Ignotus, god of the unknown. God of abyss and absence and oblivion; things Sabaians feared the most. He was recognized to reside far away from all the other gods, on a vague little star called Praecipula. Sabaians made many sacrifices to him in hopes that their adoration of him would mean they would get some back. That maybe, they weren't alone.

For some time, the people lived like this. Completely cut off from the eons of time and space around them.
