Star Bate Saga: VII

Unknown
Interesting was this planet. It was a rich, rolling blue, with ice mountains and crystal clear pools of water. Land and civilization was etched like calligraphy and dutifully positioned in the most tempting of manners. The galaxy around it was alive with comets and stars; so many stars. They seemed interwoven with time. The patterns they created were mystical. Fulfilling.
It's a shame this was wasted on such savages.
The lot of them. They saw the stars as guides. They thought the stars talked to them! Told them what they could and could not do. They sacrificed one another for these stars. These stars; a bundle of cold, hard ice and gas and rotten meaning.
They did not deserve the right to bask in the beauty of starlight and the diamond dust trails of comets. They deserved to cower.
Lachesis pondered over the planet. It angered her how fate could reward such beastly of beings. Fate could take and take from other honorable and virtuous civilizations, but leave these savages here to be.
Of course, she could fix that.
