SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as "Sunday Musings " with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of  any one of the poems from the previous weeks postings, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings  by me in the usual comments column. Poetess Cherie Sumner's   almost all poems are great success, and have won much appreciations and comments from COSMO viewers.  Hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and favorite aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem. I am eager to read your feed-backs.  The  poem which  I have taken-up for this Sunday Musings is Poetess Cherie Sumner's  verse titled  "Closer "

CLOSER

Coursing through my veins
In adrenaline’s heated rush
Is the need to celebrate
With your immediate touch
Finally, after absence
The distance can’t dominate
Your pulsing love is here
To completely intoxicate

(Every sorrows ends or evaporated  in a warm embrace by arms and by a sweet kiss from lips.Who doesn't like or enjoy  a good warm embrace? An embrace with a loved one speaks to a set of deep needs in us-for love, for belonging, for attachment and nearness, even for a sense of shelter)

I’ve missed your virile presence
Want to breathe you all in 
Lay me down by fireside
Reacquaint us, skin to skin
Let me memorize
Your intriguing masculinity
Craving! Need to pull you inside
With aggressive affinity

(The word "masculinity" used by Poetess Cherie Sumner needs high appreciation. This is related to the concept of submissiveness in love and life. Also, Peace is already recognized at last, and you can feel its soft embrace surround your heart and mind with comfort and with love)

Take
           Me
                    Now!

(The above three words reminds me of the famous song " Take Me in Your Arms and Love Me" by American group,  Gladys Knight and the Pips written by Barrett Strong, Cornelius Grant and Rodger Penzabene )

Your kisses are mine - as we are
Surging, surging, surging
Perfect art form combined – feel us
Merging, merging, merging
Hear the music of my heart’s joy
You - its desirous composer  
Clinging to our love song, wishing
Somehow, to get - CLOSER!

• BETWEEN THE LINES

The infinity of  life and endless peace surrounds you gently in a kiss  or by an embrace, so strong and quiet, tranquil.  Today the peace will prevail and love will  envelope all of us. Better to forget all things except love, a kiss or a soft embrace.

These images of being embraced can stir a deep response in us. But why? Why do we find them so attractive? To begin with, an embrace means love. If you are being embraced, you are being loved. What greater love could there be, then, than being embraced by your

A kiss or an embrace "surrounds" you. It "envelops" you. This is a major part of the concept of "embrace" in life and love. Its significance lies in the fact that when something surrounds you, it becomes the only thing that is affecting you. It is touching you at every point, and nothing else is touching you at all. Safety is not only all around you; it is also underneath you and above you, when you are really in love,
