My Sunday Day Greetings to COSMOFUNNEL Administration, to all authors, artistes and viewers

SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as " Sunday Musings " with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of any one of the poems from the previous weeks winning nominations, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings by me in the usual comments column. Nardine Sanderson's almost all poems are great success and have won the nominations; hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and nomination aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem. I am eager to read your feed-backs. I was unable to post this column to appreciate and review a COSMO poem on the 20th Sunday, due to the sad demise of my Dad, George Maveli. The poem which I have taken-up for this Sunday Musings is this: " Courageous Sea" , posted By Poetess Nardine Sanderson, on 9th August, 2014

Courageous the sea must be,
To greet the shorelines,
Repeatedly,
Within its dimensions,
Rippling tormented wave's,
( The sea is courageous same like Poetess Nardine Sanderson. Just like the sea is holding its huge waves, Poetess Nardine holds poetry and a shield to write lovely poems on life and love)
So brave,
The sea must be,
Memories of loneliness within,
Creeping within the night,
No one to hold it tight,
Darkest depths of moonlight,
(The role of the sea in human culture has been important for centuries, as people experience the sea in contradictory ways: as powerful but serene, beautiful but dangerous)
Crashing against the rocks,
Wishing to caress the life within,
Seashells tiny fish that swim,
Emotions of his bravery,
Rippling within,
(Human responses to the sea can be found in artforms including literature, art, poetry, film, theater, and classical music)
How brave the see must be,
To long within the night,
To greet the shore's of sunlight,
Seeking such delight,
(The Poetess explains the beauty of the sea during day and night, Fabulous)
Courageous waves within no end,
Seeking love wear wave's descend,
His boundless beautiful,
His shimmering extends,
(Symbolically, the sea has been perceived as a hostile environment populated by fantastic creatures: the Leviathan of the Holy Bible)
So often how his heart pretends,
Watching lovers on the sand,
Hearts within heart's,
Hand within hand,
(The sea symbolizes the personal and the collective unconsciousness in dream interpretation.)
How courageously brave the sea,
Always happy to greet thee,
Morning evening and night,
Loving within the depths of blue,
In memories always loving you,
(This is an excellent depiction of the beauty of the sea by Poetess Nardine Sanderson. My applause)
Courageous the sea must be,
A love so strong for thee,
Sacred memories,
In depths of sea,
Memories,
You and
Me.
( Please accept my Congratulations for sharing an amazing poem "Courageous sea" narrating the contributions of the bountiful and beautiful sea)

The sea has been more than just a scenic backdrop in Classic Literature... it has played the part of a character since the time of the Odyssey. The waves are part of what our myths and legends are made of since many many years.
The sea has been more than just a scenic backdrop in Classic Literature. It has played the part of a character since the time of the Odyssey, and the waves are part of what our myths and legends are made of. As the waves take on almost human characteristics of revenge and payback, we seem to dream of them. In many ways, they seem to shape...
Poets have long found the sea and the modes of human interaction with it a cause for wonder and reflection. A mirror for some, for others a desert, the sea has influenced the imaginations of writers throughout history in vastly different ways. The sheer variety of literary genres with which writers have reflected upon the sea and its meanings suggest on the water share a deep affinity. The sea in the " The Odyssey " is full of dangers and wonders; In the Holy Bible, it is an instrument of the wrath of God; it is the hostile space of exile and despair in Old English poems. In stark contrast, the sea is the space of self. English and American literature in which the sea acts as the setting, a body of symbolism, a mystery, the agent of divine wrath, and as an amazing challenge, a means of escape, and a reason to reflect on the human relationship to nature.
The role of the sea in human culture has been important for centuries, as people experience the sea in contradictory ways: as powerful but serene, beautiful but dangerous.
