My Sunday Day Greetings to COSMOFUNNEL Administration, to all authors, artistes and viewers

SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as " Sunday Musings " with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of  any one of the poems from the previous weeks winning nominations, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings  by me in the usual comments column. Cherie Sumner's almost all poems are great success and have won the nominations; hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and nomination aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem.  I am eager to read your feed-backs.  The  poem which  I have taken-up for this Sunday Musings is this " Light of Love"

Light of Love

By Cherie Sumner

Somewhere in our friendship, love switched on a light

It shone upon your armor, revealed my gallant knight

With outstretched arms you lifted me up on your steed

Our relationship galloped forward at great speed

(The usage " love switched on a light" is magnificent. Two arms stretched to lift the life of the loveable. The beginning of this love verse is marvelous)

Through all my insecurities dangling in fear

When you call me ‘gorgeous,’ they almost disappear

A spiritual awakening, this magnetic force

God’s protective hands lay foundation for our course

( In every action of man and women, God's placement and presence is visible, especially when Love turn to be honest, a divine peace comes into both hearts of the loved one's )

The echoes of our souls collected by the stars

Waited to be played on your acoustic guitar

A tune of desire, my spirit’s sweet serenade

Kiss me; let your embrace be my heart’s palisade

( Love never moves upward by gazing alone at each other. It needs to be expressed, looking ahead and moving together with more colorful dreams)

Your voice is my soothing lullaby, my sustenance

With poetic composition, you exude romance

A laugh to match your twinkling eyes, as they convey

Your sweet disposition savored in my heart’s cache

( The heart's cache has been used with a most modern way of expression by Poetess Cherie Sumner.)

Our dance waits in moonlight, our footprints for the beach

The sure imprint of our fire burns within our reach

I will drink you in deep, as my ocean to explore

Swimming in your current, making love offshore

( The first line of the above stanza is highly poetical and fabulous. The imaginery of moonlight dances, foot prints, drinking depths, oceanic explorations, loving offshore-all needs to be applauded)

Now every day forward is a memory to last

We are like youthful love, rolling in the grass

Playful, kissing free, with melting hearts at sunset

And the best for us has not even happened yet

(The youthful love is a durable flame, in the tender mind ever burning. Never dead from itsel never turning)

The brilliant light of love is blazing us a trail

And our yearning spirits are following it well

You are a blessing, heaven’s melodic sensation

My heart is yours with complete dedication

( A total submissive is depicted in the above lines adding romantic sensational effects to the whole structure of the verse. My applause)

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning, a glow, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and sparkling. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love become as coals, deep-burning and ravenous. Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is always considered as the beauty of the soul.

Love is a word which refers to a variety of different emotional states, feelings or attitudes which range from those of simple personal pleasures or desires to those characterizing interpersonal affection and many forms of profound kindness, compassion, and benevolent concern for the good of others. Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. Love is the expansion of two natures in such fashion that each include the other, each is enriched by the others.Love is the only thing that we can carry with us when we go, and it makes the end so easy.

Dear Cherie Sumner, our Poetess of love, please accept my congratulations for sharing such a loveable verse with the COSMO viewers, My God Bless, awaiting and expecting further more poems from your golden pen, Regards & Love
